Portraits of Radical Generosity

Video Series (2022)

This project was created to celebrate and build upon the work of Los Angeles-based interdisciplinary artist Cauleen Smith, specifically tied to her traveling solo exhibition Give It or Leave It. Instead of a traditional art documentary focused solely on the artist, the series takes a highly community-centric approach.

"Portraits of Radical Generosity" shifts the spotlight away from the museum walls and onto the people of Los Angeles. It serves as an emotional and creative argument that the most powerful art isn't just something you look at—it is a living practice of community care, mutual support, and creative expression.
